April In Review

Well we are definitely in the thick of it - sales are coming in at a rock steady pace and we had an absolutely stellar April.  The big sellers seem to be from the patio furniture and accessories area with hammocks, adirondack chairs and patio sets all coming out big winners.  We actually reached a pretty significant milestone this month - the largest single-sale commission...ever!  

The biggest commission ever was a whopping $1,260 on an $8,400 sale from SimplyPlanters.com.  It looks like a company needed to add a little life to their grounds and ordered 60 of the Pocatello Cedar Planter.  While the hard-working affiliate in question didn't do anything absolutely spectacular to make this sale, they had some absolutely great copy to help steer customers in the right direction.

  

Store of the Month
     It is time to promote a new store this month and it look s like the NetShops Store of the Month is PatioFurnitureUSA.   The season was a wonderful spring, but summer is fast approaching and many shoppers are spending time outside in the sun and this means looking into patio furniture.   Here are some very obvious reasons to promote this store fast!!!

Summer is coming!  The outdoors is where it is at.  Our shoppers are spending more time outside of their homes this season than indoor.  Offer a selection of fun patio furniture sets such as the Rialto 48-inch dining set with black finish, our best seller.

Offer variety.  Along with grills, hammocks, and other outdoor related products, if you are already promoting these items, patio furniture products will go great with these themes.

Tons of Ideas.  You can promote a variety of patio sets from patio dining sets and patio umbrellas to cushion covers and pool seating.

Do not forget the accessories.  It is not just patio equipment.  There are many accessories to go with the patio sets offered such as Patio Heaters, Gazebos, Torches, Outdoor Lighting, and many more!!!

Yeah, Commissions!!  Do not forget that we are still offering 15% commissions on this site, so get at it!!!

New Payment Schedule

If you haven't been paying much attention to the changes happening at Netshops, you may have missed a very important announcement.  We've now moved to a pay by month cycle.  This means that your April commission checks will be sent out in May and May checks will be sent out in June.  I think this should clear up a lot of confusion that arose from sending out checks two months after the fact.  I don't know about you, but getting money sooner is definitely the way to go!

**FYI - March commission checks will be sent out this week (5/5) and April checks will be sent out the week of May 12th.  Also all static datafeeds have been updated so if you are using them, please update your prices ASAP.

Is Your Mother's Day Shopping Done?

I know, I know, Mother's Day is 5 days away and you don't really have any time to do anything to your sites, but I thought I'd remind you anyway.  Netshops has some killer products that mom's go absolutely ga-ga for.  OnlySlippers, OnlyPajamas, JewelryBoxes, JewelryArmoires and just about everything else we sell is a great fit for Mother's Day gifts.  I snagged my mom a pair of the Sweet Dreams Lounging PJ's  and of course I'll also be sending the requisite flowers.  Do you have gifts for your mom yet?

There are a whole bunch of stores that are trending really well this spring and I want to make sure you take advantage of stores and products that seem to be hitting their stride.  I've broken our top April performers into Best Converting, Highest Average Order and Highest EPC.  Right now, these stores are your best bets:

Tip of the Month

Are you going deep?  If not, then you should be.  Deep or direct linking is the quickest way to increase your conversions and increase your profits.  If you're just sending your hard-earned traffic to our homepage, then chances are that you're losing some sales.  Before sending them to us, you want to make sure that you've gotten them ready to buy and that you're sending them to a spot that is as close to what they are looking for as possible. 

Deep linking is really not all that complicated either.  All you need to do is add the appropriate tracking to the end of your destination URL.  From there, everything is gravy.  For a more in-depth idea of what deep linking is and how to do it, check out our deep linking tutorial .
